WORKSHOP
ON COMPUTER INTERFACED SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS
Department
of Physics, National College (Autonomous) in collaboration with Inter-University
Accelerator Centre, New Delhi and TNSCST, Govt. of Tamilnadu, organized an One
Day Workshop on Computer Interfaced Science Experiments on 30th June 2018. It converts a PC into a science
laboratory for performing Physics and Engineering experiments. ExpEyes is
developed in IUAC, New Delhi as part of their outreach program, with an
objective of developing affordable laboratory equipment.
During the inaugural function, Dr.S.Pari, HOD of Physics
proposed the welcome address, Principal Dr.R.Sundararaman presided over the
function. Dr.G.Gopinath, Registrar, Bharathidasan University
inaugurated the workshop and highlighted the importance of computer interfaced
science experiments. Dr.B.P. Ajith Kumar,
Senior Scientist, IUAC, New Delhi and the founder developer of the ExpEyes
project delivered the key note address Dr.A.T.Ravichandran, Convener of the
workshop introduced the theme of the workshop and Dr.S.Ravi, proposed the vote
of thanks.
More than 180 students, research scholars and
faculty members from 22 colleges participated in this workshop. Certificates
were distributed to all the participants at the end of the workshop.
