Guest Lecture on “Science of Language”31/08/2018
          The Department of English (UAP) organized the inauguration of literary association on 31stAugust 2018, at 11.30 a.m. The chief guest Dr. J. Sundarsingh, Professor and Head, Departmentof English, Karunya Institute of Technology and science, Coimbatore, inaugurated the Literary Association and delivered a lecture on “Science of Language”. He spoke about how the researchers dedicated to the systematic study of observations, testing hypothesis and developing theories. He also said that Science of Language encompasses more than sounds, grammar and meaning. Dr. J. Sundarsinghhad cited examples of the study of speech sounds and the formation of words. He motivated the students to read the language with pleasure. Dr. R. Sundararaman, Principal, National College gave the presidential address. Dr. P.S.S.Akilashri, Vice - Principal (UAP) presided over the function and Dr.R. Elavarasu, Head,  Department of English and Dr. R. Vanitha, Head, Department of English, (UAP), felicitated and honored the chief guest. Prithviraj, student of II M.A English welcomed the gathering. Yogeshwari, student of I BA English delivered the vote of thanks and Prof. Anusooya, the Vice President of the Literary Association organized the meeting.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP NCC Army wing of National College, Mahathma Gandhi Memorial Govt. Hospital Trichy jointly organize Blood donation camp on 21-08-2017 at National College Trichy. Lt. Dr. K. Ramar Company Commander of 2 (TN) NCC Army wing delivered the welcome address. Colonal Jubin V Mathew Sena Medal , Officer Commanding, 2 (TN) NCC, Trichy to delivered the inaugural address and inaugurate the Camp. He spoke on importance of Blood Donation. Principal Dr. R. Sundararaman, National College, Trichy to honour the chief guest and deliver the presidential address. Nearly 120 students including NCC Cadets donated their blood. V.Lincy viola jesus of II M.Sc., introduced the chief guest Capt.Dr.M.Tamilselvi , Associate Professor and Head , PG & Research Dept of Mathematics, Seethalakshmi Ramaswami college, Trichy.   Dr.R.Sundararaman , Principal, National college , honoured the chief guest and delivered the presidential address.          The chief guest Capt.Dr.M.Tamilselvi delivered a lecture on   “ Mother of all sciences – Mathematics” . In her lecture , she explained how mathematics play a vital role in various fields like Bio-Technology, Astronomy, Mechanics, chemistry, Physics.
